We encourage pupils to become confident, independent artists who can articulate and value their own creative journeys and those of others.

Pupils explore Art produced by famous artists in each movement and a diverse range of artists.

Sequence of teaching in KS1 and KS2

• appreciation and reflection on pieces of Art work 
• exploring and practising specific techniques
• planning their Art through discussion in KS1 and using sketch books in KS2   
• create their own high quality Art using the techniques but also having freedom and choice when applying their knowledge and using their own style.
